Diane focuses her practice in international commodities (particularly petroleum products, coal, food and feedstuffs, vegetable oils/oilseeds, LNG, metals and biofuels) and international arbitrations, including arbitrations in LCIA, CIETAC, GAFTA and FOSFA. She advises on all aspects of sale contract drafting (spot and term contracts plus tolling agreements, throughput and offtake agreements), letters of credit, commodities insurance, and the effect of international sanctions affecting trade. In addition, she is an accredited CEDR mediator, a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and regularly lectures on commodities topics. A large part of her practice is early dispute management and dispute avoidance, particularly in the context of JVs or long term contracts.
