Mary is a knowledge management lawyer and subject matter expert in tax and corporate law. She develops and collates model documents, prepares training, collates know-how, and provides research support for the firm’s U.S. Corporate group. She also assists the firm’s Opinion Committee with developing and collating model documents and know-how.
Mary provides guidance to lawyers in the implementation and use of technology to develop more efficient ways of working.
Before joining Reed Smith, Mary practiced as a tax associate at a large firm in Chicago. Her practice focused on middle market private equity and M&A, including complex deal structuring, purchases and sales, and providing day-to-day legal support for private equity operating companies. She also provided U.S. income tax structuring advice to wealth planning clients.
Mary is a member of International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and the Chicago Bar Association. She is also a member of the Culper Ring Agent 355 Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
