Scot is the Co-Chair of Reed Smith's Life Sciences Health Industry Group. Scot's practice encompasses a variety of health law matters with a focus on fraud and abuse counseling, government investigations, and False Claims Act defense. He has represented and defended health care companies in lawsuits, regulatory, and program integrity matters before the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the United States Department of Justice, the HHS Office of Inspector General, health care program auditors such as ZPICs, and various state agencies. He negotiated numerous government settlements and corporate integrity agreements, including some of the most significant provider settlements of the past decade.
