Vanessa is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on intellectual property disputes involving unfair competition, false advertising and trademark infringement under the Lanham Act and state laws; patent infringement; copyrights; and trade secrets. Her recent matters have involved videogame software and systems, consumer products such as appliances and mattresses, telecommunications networks, and industry products such as mechanical gaskets. She also has experience in commercial litigation, including managing premises liability cases and related insurance coverage disputes, as well as employment discrimination and retaliation cases before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state law agencies. She is also committed to pro bono representation, focusing her efforts on assisting immigrants seeking asylum and refugee protections in the United States.
