Miranda is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and has extensive insurance coverage litigation experience in both state and federal courts throughout the country. Miranda has represented clients in various alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediations and arbitrations. Miranda has litigated, arbitrated, and settled numerous types of insurance disputes, including coverage for: first-party crime claims; consumer class actions; fiduciary duty and shareholder litigation; first-party property and business interruption losses; fidelity bond claims; consumer protection actions; product liability actions; bodily injury claims; and environmental pollution claims.

Miranda also has extensive experience assisting clients in the presentation of claims and communicating and negotiating with carriers to secure defense and indemnification for clients without the need for litigation. She also helps clients proactively manage risk by reviewing clients’ existing and proposed insurance programs, negotiating insurance policy language to eliminate coverage gaps, and counseling clients on contracts affecting insurance coverage and liability.

Before joining Reed Smith, Miranda served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mitchell S. Goldberg of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where she worked on a wide range of cases, including contract, antitrust, employment, civil rights, and intellectual property.
