Emma is a commercial litigation partner in the Entertainment and Media Industry Group.
Emma has acted on a wide range of commercial disputes and has particular experience of disputes with a cross-border element, including in the Bahamas, South Africa and the US. Emma has worked on copyright, trade mark, passing off and design right matters across a number of fields including retail and technology. She regularly advises on contentious issues in relation to the launch of new brands and advertising and promotions. Emma has acted on high profile defamation matters involving well known celebrities, newspapers and other individuals and organisations. She has assisted victims of cyber-crime and hacking in mitigating the consequences. She is also experienced in the areas of privacy and confidence, and has worked on international arbitrations and professional negligence matters. Emma is a full member of Equity.
Emma gained experience through a client secondment to the BBC in-house litigation department where she worked on intellectual property and other media related litigation.
