Heather is a senior associate in the Labor and Employment Group. Her practice focuses on employment litigation defense in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. She has extensive experience defending against wage and hour class actions, collective actions, and Private Attorney General Act suits, as well as claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination.
In her practice, Heather draws on her prior employment litigation experience in both the private and public sectors. She previously worked in private practice for an employment litigation boutique in Los Angeles. There, she focused her practice in both class actions and single plaintiff discrimination matters, with a particular focus on disability discrimination. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Heather, who is dual-barred in both California and New York, practiced at the New York City Law Department in its Labor and Employment Division. In that role, Heather defended the City of New York, its agencies, and its high-ranking officials, in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. Heather served as lead litigation counsel in class actions and single plaintiff matters involving discrimination based on age, gender, disability, and race; wage and hour claims; and constitutional claims.
