Curtis is an associate in the IP, Tech & Data Group and is a member of the Information Technology, Privacy & Data Security team.
Curtis recently joined the firm as an associate having served as Legal Counsel to the Financial Ombudsman Service for a number of years. As a result, he has acquired extensive in-house experience and has developed a broad knowledge of data protection, freedom of information, commercial and procurement law.
Curtis currently specialises in IT, including cloud computing and FinTech, and commercial law. He has also a particular specialism in data protection and advises on European and global laws in a range of matters, including international data transfers, responding to data breaches, subject access requests, requests for disclosure from third parties and marketing. Curtis has gained experience in developing and drafting privacy and cookies policies, consent declarations and data transfer agreements.
Curtis’ has a particular experience in advising clients within the financial services and technology sectors.
Curtis has also developed a significant amount of litigation experience, including responding to appeals to the Information Rights Tribunal.
