Nichole brings over 25 years of experience in the managed care industry, where she is well-versed in the compliance challenges faced by managed care organizations. Her career has been rooted in managed care, primarily in government program-focused managed care companies across the United States, operating in executive-level roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Implementations.
Nichole's extensive industry background provides a unique advantage in serving our managed care clients' regulatory needs. By combining her business experience and acumen with her legal knowledge, she can offer a valuable perspective to both clients and colleagues. Nichole’s practice focuses on regulatory and compliance matters related to government programs, including the No Surprises Act and the Medicaid Managed Care Final Rule.
Before embarking on her legal career, Nichole served as the Senior Vice President of Implementation for CareSource, overseeing the strategic development of new markets for Medicaid and Medicare programs. Her extensive experience includes her role as Chief Operating Officer of a joint venture between Aetna (a CVS company) and Allina Health, one of Minnesota’s largest health systems. Nichole also held the position of Associate Vice President at a subsidiary of Molina Healthcare, where she implemented and managed Medicaid and MMP contracts, and Director at Cigna-affiliate Healthspring, where she supported Medicare Advantage and D-SNP products enterprise-wide.
Throughout these roles, Nichole developed a strong interest in managed care legal compliance matters, which led her to pursue her law degree. Nichole’s responsibilities included strategic planning, operational management, oversight and monitoring of regulatory and compliance issues, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and state and federal regulations, and healthcare policy and advocacy.
In addition to her law degree, Nichole holds a bachelor’s degree in health care management and a master’s degree in health care administration.
