Joshua is an associate in the firm's Appellate Group. He has drafted briefs in federal and state appellate courts, and has also participated in trial court litigation to develop trial strategy in anticipation of an appeal and to petition for discretionary appellate review.
Joshua served as a law clerk to Judge Daniel A. Manion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Chief Judge Thomas B. Bennett of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama. While clerking for Judge Bennett, Joshua managed cases filed under all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code and worked extensively on Jefferson County’s $4.2 billion reorganization. He received a Distinguished Legal Writing Award from the Burton Foundation in 2010.
