Charles is an associate in the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group. Charles focuses his practice on advising clients in a broad range of antitrust matters, enforcement actions and cybersecurity matters. Before joining Reed Smith, Charles was an associate at a premier law firm in Boston. Prior to going into private practice, Charles served as a law clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Eric T. Washington on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Charles received his law degree in 2016 from the Howard University School of Law, where he served as the vice president of the Howard Public Interest Law Society. In this capacity, Charles led a legal service trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. At Howard, Charles was a student-attorney in the Howard Investor Justice and Education Clinic. As a member of his national moot court team, Charles was recognized for the “Best Appellee Brief” in the Global Antitrust Institute Moot Court Competition as well as runner-up for “Best Oralist” in the Charles Hamilton Houston Moot Court Competition. During law school, Charles was a recipient of CALI Awards for Excellence in International Business Transactions and Entertainment Law.
