Keyonn is a Partner in the firm's Chicago office and a member of the Intellectual Property, Tech, and Data Group. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling. He represents clients in matters involving utility patent, design patent, trademark, trade secret, trade dress, unfair competition, copyright infringement, from both plaintiffs' and defendants' perspectives. Keyonn has extensive experience handling patent prosecution, as well as inter partes review (IPR) petitions before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He also regularly represents major brands in connection with bet the farm trademark litigation, as well as developing and implementing trademark enforcement strategy, managing trademark portfolios, clearing trademarks for use and registration, and handling matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). An electrical engineer by training, Keyonn has significant experience advising clients on matters related to myriad technologies, for example, cloud computing, smart meters, smartphones, digital cameras, Bluetooth devices, cellular phone signal propagation and power consumption, and business methods. Keyonn also routinely handles intellectual property and data privacy-related diligence in connection with corporate transactions in various industries.
