Florent has a particular focus on asset finance and is involved in all types of asset finance transactions for aircraft, shipping, railway, satellites and other large mobile assets. His experience includes secured and unsecured debt financings, operating, finance and tax-based lease structures, export credit agency-supported financings, aircraft/vessel sales, purchases and lease novations. Florent acts on behalf of domestic and international commercial banks as well as owners and lessors. Florent has also extensive experience advising international aircraft lessors on finance, corporate, administrative and other general legal aspects in connection therewith in France.
Florent's project finance work involves energy and infrastructure financings for major domestic and cross-border transactions covering a wide range of sectors: motorways, hospitals, stadiums, power plants, etc. His experience includes large complex multi-sourced financings for both private structured projects and PPPs. Florent represents multilateral financing institutions and commercial banks as well as domestic and international sponsors, borrowers and investors.
Before joining Reed Smith, Florent worked over 9 years in energy, infrastructure, project and asset finance in the Paris office of a U.S. leading international law firm.
