Brenda is a member in our firm’s Labor and Employment group based in our San Francisco office. She advises employers on all aspects of labor and employment law, including discipline and terminations, leaves of absence, disability accommodations, employment policies and employee handbooks, workforce reductions, and wage and hour compliance. She also represents clients in single-plaintiff cases involving allegations of harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and wage and hour violations.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Brenda acquired significant experience in traditional labor matters as a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. There, she investigated hundreds of unfair labor practices and tried cases. As such, she has extensive experience successfully representing clients before the agency and counseling clients on a wide range of traditional labor matters, including representing clients in first contract negotiations, labor arbitrations, and in unfair labor practice charges.
