Vincent has over 30 years' experience advising in connection with major international energy, infrastructure and construction projects, with particular expertise in contract strategies, project management (as project counsel) and international dispute resolution (arbitration, ADR and litigation). He is recognised as a leading lawyer in the field of construction and engineering law by all of the major legal directories, including Chambers, Legal 500, Acritas and by Who's Who Legal.
Vincent has advised and represented both owners and contractors on many projects around the World, including in Africa, Asia, China, India and the Middle East, with a particular focus on the oil and gas, power and transport sectors. He has recently worked on a number of major oil and gas projects in the Sudan, large LNG projects in Qatar (LNG trains and ancillary offshore and onshore infrastructure) and the UK (regasification and storage), a gas pipeline project and the Delhi Metro in India, a number of process plants, refineries, power stations in the Middle East as well as a series of FLNG, FPSO and specialist vessel projects for the oil and gas industry.
He has frequently served as project counsel, working alongside and as part of a multi- disciplinary team, tasked with the execution and delivery of major projects. Vincent worked in this way in Sudan, over a 10 year period, representing oil company consortia developing a series of oil fields and related infrastructure for the processing, transportation, storage and export of oil. In Qatar Vincent was retained by a multi-national owner consortium developing 2 mega LNG trains at Ras Laffan, to review the project, advise on the strategy to achieve project close out and the settlement of substantial contractor claims. Most recently he has served as project counsel to the owner developer of the Third Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul, advising throughout the execution of the project in order to implement a strategy that guided the project to completion whilst successfully resolving all contractor claims.
