Claire is an associate in the labor and employment practice group. She provides global support to the firm’s clients on labor, employment, and litigation challenges. Claire is an accomplished management-side employment attorney with a wide range of experience, including providing advice and counsel about compliance with laws and regulations; defending claims in federal and state court involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower protection, and wage & hour compliance; and prosecuting trade secret and non-compete claims. In addition, Claire often represents companies in connection with EEOC, DOL, and other federal and state agency investigations. She is very knowledgeable about compliance with ADA, ADEA, and FMLA issues.
Claire also provides support to corporate employers when drafting and implementing workplace policies and procedures on topics such as equal employment opportunity, minimum wage and overtime, employee attendance and leave, and employee accommodations. Claire is often involved with training and educational initiatives related to positive employee relations, preventing discrimination and harassment in the workplace, and medical marijuana in the workplace.
Prior to joining the firm, Claire defended employers in employment discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblower protection, and retaliation claims in federal and state court. Claire also advised employers of all sizes facing various personnel-related issues pertaining to hiring, termination, disability accommodation, employee leave, separation and confidentiality agreements, and restrictive covenants.
