Financial Times and HERoes, a gender equality initiative, launched the list to celebrate 50 senior female role models who are helping to increase gender diversity in the workplace and effecting the greatest changes in women’s careers both in the UK and beyond.
Tamara is listed for her passion for establishing gender parity in corporations and professional organisations. Tamara has been active in, and has ensured that Reed Smith is visible in, community, industry and global initiatives to champion women, including through involvement with organisations such as Women Corporate Directors, Asian Women of Achievement, and the International Women's Forum.
As a founding member of the Steering Committee of the 30% Club, a leader in the development of the ‘Paradigm for Parity’ as well as an active member of the Women’s Initiative Network at Reed Smith (WINRS), Tamara has been hugely influential in accelerating gender balance in the boards and the pipelines of corporations and law firms.
Suki Sandhu, founder of HERoes, said, “While there are a number of role model lists celebrating successful women, the FT and HERoes Champions of Women in Business Lists are different. They recognise those individuals who are using their personal success as a springboard for others, working to address the lack of gender diversity at all levels in business.”
In 2015, Tamara was named a top 30 Inspirational Woman and Champion of Diversity by Brummel Magazine and Mentor of the Year by Women of the Future in 2016.
