Isabel regularly advises clients across a range of industries on international trade and customs matters, including EU trade remedy proceedings, World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlements, rules of origin, tariff classification, customs valuation and special customs procedure.
In addition to her experience in international trade, Isabel also regularly advises clients on EU sanctions and export controls.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Isabel worked at other leading international law firms in Brussels and was seconded to the trade team of a major German pharmaceutical company to advise on sanctions matters.
Isabel works in French, English and Portuguese and holds a Master’s degree from Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris, Université Paris-Saclay (UVSQ) and a LL.M from Georgetown University Law Center.
Isabel regularly publishes articles on international trade issues and is a member of Greenlane, an alliance of European customs and international trade law firms located in Europe and abroad.
