Elizabeth’s international and in-house experience combined with her rare mix of Banking and Financial Services Litigation, Insolvency Litigation and contentious Regulatory experience leads to a unique offering.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Elizabeth spent time in private practice in Sydney, in-house at one of the largest Australian banks (on secondment), and at one of the ‘Big4’ in London. Elizabeth was also a judicial clerk in the Queensland Court of Appeal.
Elizabeth has particular experience in complex corporate insolvency, banking, financial, contract and regulatory disputes, including professional negligence claims. She has advised on a range of commercial disputes in the English High Court (Companies Court, Chancery Division) and in a Royal Court in the Channel Islands. Elizabeth has also been instructed to appear in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.
Elizabeth is a member of the Junior London Solicitors Litigation Association (JLSLA) committee, an organisation which represents the interests of over 900 junior (up to 8 years’ PQE) litigators practising in London, and which provides civil and commercial litigators working at the centre of UK and international litigation with an active forum for sharing and exchanging views, networking, learning and influencing legislation.
