Sarah is an associate in the IP, Tech & Data Group and advises on a broad range of non-contentious and regulatory matters which have an IP, technology or data focus. In particular, Sarah specialises in data protection and cyber security compliance, and IP and technology transactions. Sarah has experience in advising clients from a number of sectors, including technology, advertising and private equity.

Sarah’s data protection practice consists of advising clients on compliance with data protection and cyber security laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the Data Protection Act 2018. Sarah has experience of conducting data protection compliance audits for clients, and preparing and executing project plans to bridge any gaps in compliance. Such work includes: advising on data collection practices and the legal basis for processing personal data; drafting privacy notices, policies, processing records and consent language; drafting data processing and data sharing agreements; advising on the adequacy of international data transfers; and conducting data protection impact assessments. Sarah also advises clients on the duty to report data breaches and prepares data breach notifications where required.
