LONDON (10 October 2017) – Reed Smith has been shortlisted in three categories at the British Legal Awards 2017. The firm is named a finalist for Private Equity Team of the Year, M&A Team of the Year (Medium-Sized Deal), and Technology Team of the Year.
Hosted by Legal Week in association with The City of London Law Society, the annual awards showcase the best legal work from across the country, and are attended by 1,000 lawyers representing the cream of the UK's legal community.
In the private equity category, the firm is shortlisted for its role advising Graphite Capital, a leading UK mid-market private equity investor, on the sale of Micheldever Tyre Services to Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd (SRI) for £215 million. The deal closed in February this year.
