The awards celebrate leading diversity and inclusion champions, recognising achievements over the past year across ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and religious beliefs.

Grant has been shortlisted for ‘Diversity Champion of the Year’ category for her efforts in promoting diversity in the legal sector.

In particular, she has been recognised for her position as co-chair of Reed Smith’s Multicultural Network, one of the firm’s business inclusion groups that aims to support and lead BAME initiatives as part of the firm’s broader diversity and recruitment strategies.

Grant has also been recognised for her role Committee Secretary for NOTICED, the UK’s first inter-firm diversity network aimed at promoting networking opportunities to integrate, celebrate and educate on diversity across the legal sector.

As part of this role, Grant manages the database of contacts across the existing 27 member firms, helps schedule and organise NOTICED sponsored events, forums and meetings, and drafts a range of internal communications for the existing 27 member firms.

Her work with NOTICED has supported the network to curate a safe space for law firms and in-house teams to come together and discuss how they can tangibly contribute towards making the legal sector truly representative, inclusive, and accessible to all, regardless of ethnic background.

The awards ceremony takes place on March 22 at Grosvenor House, London, and will be co-hosted by presenter, Diversity expert and award-winning author June Sarpong OBE plus NHS doctor and BAFTA award-winning television presenter Dr Ranj Singh.
