Sarah is counsel in the International Trade and National Security Group. She provides practical guidance to clients worldwide on issues related to international trade, national security, and regulatory enforcement matters. Sarah counsels companies across a range of industries, including defense and aerospace, health care, life sciences, IT, and manufacturing, with respect to the following areas of law:

  • Sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”);
  • Export controls, including the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR");
  • Practice before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”);
  • Enforcement and other matters before OFAC, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (“DDTC”), the Bureau of Industry & Security (“BIS”), U.S. Customs & Border Protection (“CBP”), and other federal government agencies; and
  • Customs and trade matters including preferential treatment under USMCA, country rules of origin, antidumping/countervailing duties, Sections 232 and 301 investigations, and more.
