Who thought this would be a good idea?! Dutch supermarket Albert Heijn recently asked staff to send head office photos of themselves in their underwear in tight-fitting sports gear, which brought about widespread criticism on Dutch social media, as well as with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
The reason behind this bizarre request was to ensure new staff uniforms would fit correctly. The instruction was "essential and mandatory".
Unsurprisingly, the supermarket chain have abandoned their plans, and are just going to ask staff their clothing size instead.
