LONDON – Four Reed Smith lawyers have been included on the prestigious 2019 OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Model Lists. The lists, prepared by diversity and inclusion organization INvolve, highlight role models for others to follow when it comes to being out and proud at work, driving positive change in the office, or supporting LGBT+ colleagues.

Reed Smith’s honorees are:

  • Kyri Evagora, partner - OUTstanding Top 100 Role Model LGBT+ Executives 2019
  • Alan York, partner – OUTstanding Top 100 Role Model LGBT+ Executives 2019
  • Casey Ryan, partner and Global Head of Legal Personnel - OUTstanding Top 50 LGBT+ Ally Executives
  • Jonathan Andrews, associate - Top 50 LGBT+ Future Leaders 2019

The LGBT+ Executives category recognizes successful senior LGBT+ executives working one to three levels from the chief executive, who are helping to make the workplace a more welcoming place. The Ally Executives category acknowledges the contribution of senior executives who are outspoken and unwavering in their support for LGBT+ people in the workplace. LGBT+ Future Leaders recognizes role models who work at all levels of an organization and make significant contributions to LGBT+ inclusion within their company.

All of the 2019 Role Models were nominated by peers and colleagues. Nominations were then reviewed by an independent judging panel. Nominees were scored on their impact on LGBT+ inclusion inside and outside the workplace, their business achievements, and the seniority and influence of their role.
