LONDON - Global law firm Reed Smith is pleased to announce that Entertainment & Media associate Jonathan Andrews has been named in the prestigious 2021 OUTstanding LGBTQ+ Future Leader Role Models List.

关联专业人士: Jonathan J. Andrews

OUTstanding LGBTQ+ Future Leaders recognises role models who work at all levels of an organisation and make significant contributions to LGBTQ+ inclusion within their company.

All of the 2021 Role Models were nominated by peers and colleagues or put themselves forward for consideration. Nominations were then reviewed by the OUTstanding judging panel, who scored each person on the influence of their role, their impact on staff inside and outside the workplace, and their business achievements.

Andrews was recognised by the judges as a champion of LGBTQ+ (and particularly bi) inclusion, having has spoken at numerous internal events through the firm’s LGBTQ+ network PRISM, including its first-ever bi-focused event in 2019, ensuring intersectionality was front and centre. He also ensured LGBTQ+ / disability intersectionality was present at the firm’s 2020 Disability Inclusion Summit.

Having co-founded Bauer Media's diversity forum, he has spoken across Bauer offices nationwide, featured in videos / articles championing the importance of openness and trained senior management in LGBTQ+ / intersectional inclusion. Andrews is also a trustee of the Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation (and a judge of the charity’s LGBTQ+ and disability scholarships in 2021) and serves on the International Trademark Association's 2021 Presidential Task Force for DEI, championing inclusion across the intellectual property sector.

From 2019-21 he was the first LGBTQ+ (and first-ever) chair of the Commonwealth Children and Youth Disability Network, and in 2020 was named a Franco-British local leader.

John Iino, Reed Smith’s global chair of Diversity Equity & Inclusion, said: “Reed Smith is firmly committed to championing LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion, so we are delighted that Jonathan has been named on this prestigious list. The accolade is hugely deserved for his tremendous work in ensuring that our firm and the wider legal profession is inclusive to members of the LGBTQ+ community.”

Suki Sandhu OBE, Founder and CEO of INvolve, commented: "Positive role models in business are vital. They blaze a trail for change and inspire others to take action for inclusion. I am proud to be celebrating this year's global OUTstanding LGBTQ+ Role Models and I'm thrilled to be able to showcase their incredible achievements in driving LGBTQ+ inclusion.”
