The Indian Women in International Arbitration (IWIA) is a community of Indian women passionate about promoting and advancing the participation of Indian women in international arbitration.

Founded in 2023 by Niyati Ahuja, the aim of the IWIA is to break down barriers and build greater diversity in the field of international dispute resolution. The IWIA is committed to creating a platform for Indian women to connect, learn, and advance their careers in international arbitration.

Bhattacharyya was invited to serve as an advisory board member because the IWIA recognised he is a passionate advocate for true diversity, equity & inclusion.

Bhattacharyya is a partner champion of Reed Smith’s Multi-Cultural Network, its PRISM (LGBTQ+) Group, and its Disabilities Group; as well as acting as a male partner champion for the firm’s Women's Initiative Network.
