With broad experience supporting clients in a number of sectors, including healthcare, medical devices, technology and advertising, Sarah advises across a range of matters with an intellectual property, technology, or data focus.
Focusing her practice on data protection and cybersecurity compliance, Sarah regularly supports clients through regulatory change, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and the Data Protection Act of 2018. She also advises clients on their duties regarding the reporting of data breaches, including guiding them through data breach investigations, and is experienced in preparing data breach notifications.
In addition to her data and cyber practice, Sarah advises clients across a variety of technology transactions, such as the development and implementation of e-commerce sites and mobile applications, the use of cloud technology, software development and licensing, and outsourcing.
Sarah is a member of On-Chain: Reed Smith’s Crypto & Digital Assets Group, advising on data protection implications on block chain, crypto wallets and on NFT platforms.
Sarah also understands and advises on advertising regulations, including the drafting and negotiation of client and agency agreements for the provision of various advertising and marketing-related services and copy clearance advice.
Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Sarah worked as an in-house legal assistant at various global entertainment and advertising firms. She also completed a number of secondments, including at a UK-based PR agency and a U.S.-headquartered automobile manufacturer.
