Returning to Work

In 2018, we launched our new gender-neutral “Ramp Up Program” for lawyers returning to work from long absences, such as for parental or disability leave, providing 16 weeks of reduced work hour expectations with full base salary or compensation. In addition to our generous general-neutral parental leave, Reed Smith further supports working mothers through: (1) our Mindful Return Program (an e-learning program for women returning from maternity leave); (2) offering MilkStork, a breast-milk shipping service that helps working women continue to breastfeed while on business travel; and (3) the installation of hospital-grade breast milk pumps in the firm’s 15 U.S. offices.
