Women on Boards

We are proud supporters of numerous initiatives to increase women’s leadership on corporate boards, including DirectWomen and 2020WOB. In 2018, our San Francisco office hosted a panel discussion, “Getting Women on Boards: The Groundbreaking Passage of California Senate Bill 826,” engaging lawyers in a discussion regarding the impact of the Bill. Further, in 2019, our New York office held our first “Deal Us In: Diversity at the Deal Table” symposium. Our esteemed panelists provided practical advice for how women can position themselves for board membership, advised how businesses can achieve greater profitability by achieving gender-diverse boards, spoke candidly about bias they faced rising to the top of their careers, and discussed how to facilitate measurable change in law firms and corporations with regard to gender bias and diversity and inclusion matters.
