Ari is a counsel in the firm’s Global Tax Group and a member of On-Chain: Reed Smith’s Crypto & Digital Assets Group. He advises on domestic and cross-border tax matters for U.S. and international companies and investment funds, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, and financing transactions.
Ari also advises high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and family offices in connection with the structuring and maintenance of tax-efficient U.S. and international business and investment structures, spanning a wide range of industries and geographies. In addition, Ari advises on tax issues concerning blockchain and digital asset-related transactions, including crypto fund structures, blockchain lending platforms, decentralized finance (DeFi) transactions, and the tax consequences associated with crypto mining and lending.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Ari was a senior associate at Withers Bergman LLP in the firm’s International Tax Group.
