Early in his career he spent a year on secondment at the Financial Services Authority, primarily advising the markets and exchanges division, on the supervision of exchanges and clearing-houses. While there he was involved in the regulatory response to the default of a clearing member on a UK recognised investment exchange.
His practice combines commercial transactional work, often leading on complex structured products, with regulatory projects and advisory work. Chris has substantial experience in all aspects of cross-border and domestic securities, derivatives and commodity derivatives trading (OTC and ETD).
He is routinely rated as a leading individual in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners and has been described in Chambers and Partners as "a highly intelligent practitioner who expertly handles complex transactions".
