December 4, 2014 – Reed Smith LLP today announced the election of two new At-Large Representatives and a new Fixed-Share Partner Observer to its 26-member 2015 Executive Committee, the firm’s governing body. The two new EC members were elected to three-year terms and the Fixed-Share Observer to a one-year term. The three new members join A. Scott Bolden, who recently assumed an At-Large position vacated by Ed Estrada when Estrada became the firm’s Global Head of Strategy.

Peter M. Ellis, a partner in the Commercial Litigation Group, is a newly elected EC Representative from Chicago, replacing Carolyn H. Rosenberg; Mark G. Pedretti, a partner and Chair of the firmwide Private Equity Group, is the newly elected EC Representative from New York, replacing Herbert F. Kozlov.

“The addition of Peter and Mark, and their fresh perspectives, will continue to keep the Executive Committee the vibrant, thoughtful and effective leadership body it is,” said Sandy Thomas, Reed Smith’s Global Managing Partner. “We are grateful to Carolyn and Herb for their dedicated service during a period of significant growth and change at Reed Smith. Our firm begins 2015 in a very strong position, thanks to the hard work of our partners and our outstanding client relationships.”

Roberta Torian, a banking lawyer in the Firm’s Financial Industry Group in the Philadelphia office, joins the Executive Committee as the Fixed-Share Partner Observer for a one-year term, replacing John M. McIntyre in that position.

In addition to the new members of the EC, two current At-Large members, Nathan Dentice of Hong Kong and Carol Loepere of D.C., were re-elected to a second, three-year term. Each year, one-third of the At-Large members of the Executive Committee are up for election by the partnership.
