(August 16, 2012) – Reed Smith LLP, a leading international law firm, earned two rankings at the top level in the inaugural issue of Life Science Guide. Eight lawyers in the firm were selected by the publication as "Life Science Stars."

Life Science Guide is the newest publication of Legal Media Group (LMG), a part of Euromoney Institutional Investor, PLC.

Reed Smith earned the rating of "Highly Recommended" in the pricing and reimbursement category within life science regulation, as well as in products liability within non-IP litigation and enforcement.

Washington, D.C. partners Gordon Schatz and Joseph W. Metro were named "Stars" in the regulatory category. Mr. Schatz, who is the integration partner for the firm’s Beijing and Shanghai offices, was noted for his work in both Washington, D.C., and China on behalf of the firm’s life science clients.

Included among the non-IP litigation and enforcement life science stars were Reed Smith’s Los Angeles partners Michael K. Brown, Mildred Segura and David Stanley; Philadelphia partner Michael T. Scott, and Washington, D.C., partner Eric Dubelier. Princeton partner Diane M. Frenier was named a star in the life sciences financial/transactional category.
