Global law firm Reed Smith has been ranked among the top firms in the first ever TrustLaw Global Pro Bono Index released today by the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Reed Smith is ranked seven in the table of the top pro bono firms in England and Wales with an average of 31.24 pro bono hours per fee-earner, above the overall average of 20.9 hours.

Elsewhere in the survey, Reed Smith performed better than average in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Germany and France. In the UAE, Reed Smith was ranked first. The average pro bono hours at Reed Smith came to 41.54, far above the overall average of 17 hours. In Germany, Reed Smith was ranked second. The average pro bono hours at Reed Smith were 18.39, compared to the overall average of 10.7 hours.
