Reed Smith has been awarded the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Award for Social Inclusion for its Create/U-Turn project. The Dragon Awards are open to all companies in the City of London and the Social Inclusion category always receives the most applications.

The Create/U-Turn project is a project aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable and socially excluded women in East London helping them to build their confidence and become integrated into the wider community by enabling them to explore their creativity through a number of activities. Reed Smith runs the project in partnership with Create (a creative arts charity) and the U-Turn project (a small shelter which works with vulnerable and hard to reach women). Previous courses have included jewellery making, art, creative writing, photography, drama and music.
