Every year since 2007, Jim Beck (Bexis) has compiled lists of the 10 best and 10 worst court decisions in drug and medical device cases, and has posted them to the Drug and Device Law blog. These cases are selected based on their likely precedential value, their importance to drug and device manufacturers, and their inherent (and subjective) merit.

On January 8, 2014, from 12-1 p.m. ET, the 10 best and 10 worst of 2013 will be the subject of discussion by Bexis and Eric Alexander a Reed Smith partner and Drug and Device Law blog contributor. Bexis and Eric will highlight what made these 20 cases significant and offer their views on what they mean for 2014 and beyond. The cases involve topics as diverse as preemption, the False Claims Act, innovator liability, removal, pleading standards, and off-label use, and are likely to lead to some vigorous discussion. This hour-long program will be relevant to in-house counsel, business personnel and all other interested parties.
