(July 8, 2013) – Seventeen Reed Smith lawyers have been selected for recognition as 2013 Northern California Super Lawyers and four others have been named 2013 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers Magazine.

“We are proud of our 21 lawyers in Northern California who earned well-deserved recognition for their practice skills and results this year,” said Gregory B. Jordan, Reed Smith’s Global Managing Partner. “Their successes across a wide range of practices are testaments to their positive relationships with, strong dedication to, and hard work on behalf of, their clients. We congratulate each of them on this singular achievement.”

The 2013 Super Lawyers in the firm’s San Francisco office include Scott D. Baker, Intellectual Property Litigation; Douglas G. Boven, Bankruptcy; Deborah J. Broyles, Employment & Labor; Mike C. Buckley, Bankruptcy; and Raymond A. Cardozo, Appellate.

Others from the San Francisco office honored for the year include Colleen T. Davies, Civil Litigation Defense; Bette B. Epstein, Estate & Trust Litigation; Paul D. Fogel, Appellate; Steven M. Kohn, Class Action; and Harvey L. Leiderman, Government.

Rounding out the firm’s San Francisco 2013 Super Lawyers cohort are Dennis Peter Maio, Appellate; John L. McDonnell Jr., Estate & Trust Litigation; Robert D. Phillips Jr., Class Action; Robert N. Phillips, Intellectual Property Litigation; Charles H. Seaman, Real Estate; John S. Siamas, Business Litigation; and David E. Weiss, Insurance Coverage.

Reed Smith’s 2013 Northern California Rising Stars in San Francisco are Lilit Asadourian, Business Litigation; Nathaniel C. Klein, Business/Corporate; Brendan M. McNallen, Energy & Resources; and Tiffany Renee Thomas, Employment & Labor.

Super Lawyers annually selects attorneys for recognition through a rigorous nomination process that includes review by their peers in the practice area and independent research. Only five percent of lawyers in a state are chosen each year for this honor.

The Reed Smith attorneys selected in 2013 will be featured in Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine and the Sacramento and San Francisco magazines in August. Reed Smith’s Broyles, Davies, Epstein, Asadourian and Thomas will also be spotlighted in The Top Women Attorneys in Northern California, a special section scheduled for publication in the December issue of San Francisco magazine.
