Dan is a trial lawyer who represents clients in regulatory litigation, government investigations and enforcement actions, administrative appeals, and complex business disputes. Dan serves a wide-range of clients but works regularly with clients in the health care, financial services, and hospitality industries as well as with government contractors. Dan takes a thoughtful, cost-effective, and results-driven approach to help clients resolve their most challenging and complex legal disputes.
Dan’s practice focuses on the following areas:
Complex commercial and business disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration forums, including contract disputes, tortious interference and other business torts, defamation, false advertising/Lanham Act, unfair competition, and claims under federal and state privacy laws
Fraud and abuse investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation under the federal False Claims Act (FCA), the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, and related qui tam actions
Government subpoenas, compliance and enforcement inquiries, and administrative appeals involving regulatory compliance, contractor licensing and participation, and reimbursement/compensation under federal and state health programs and government contracts
Financial services litigation, mortgage litigation, and class actions, involving allegations of consumer fraud and violations of federal and state statutes and regulations
Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) investigations and related enforcement actions and private securities disputes and shareholder litigation
Dan is a member of the FCA team, the Hospitality Industry Group, the Real Estate Litigation Team, and the Social and Digital Media Task Force.
