Alexandre Tron has joined international law firm Reed Smith as a partner in the firm’s Paris office, bringing with him senior associate Olivier Borenstejn. Their addition to the team represents a significant step in the further development of the Finance group in Paris, enhancing its service provision for clients across a broad range of banking and finance matters. Alex and Olivier bring with them a deep experience and market expertise in financing transactions, particularly financings to support corporate acquisitions, corporate growth, corporate reorganisation and LBOs.

This recruitment bolsters a key strategic area for further development of the firm in Paris, deepening the offering to our financial institutional clients and meeting the increasing client needs of the corporate group – led by Marc Fredj, Lucas d’Orgeval and Emmanuel Vergnaud – who make up one of the most active teams in the Paris market for Private Equity transactions.

Alexandre and Olivier are coming into Reed Smith’s established Financial Industry Group, which includes more than 200 lawyers across the firm’s 23 offices throughout the world and which regularly advises leading international banking and finance institutions.

Tron was previously a partner at JeantetAssociés, advising clients, including credit institutions, mezzanine funds, private equity funds and corporate borrowers,on the structuring, negotiation, and restructuring of varying types of financings, including acquisition financings, LBO financings, project financings and real estate financings. Dual qualified in both Paris and New York State, he holds degrees from the IEP in Paris and New York University.

Borenstejn also joins from JeantetAssociés, and has been involved with drafting and negotiation of financing documentation for acquisitions, LBOs and project financings. He holds degrees in economics, banking and finance law, and graduated from EM Lyon in 2003.
