Matt is a partner in Reed Smith's Corporate & Securities Group and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Emerging Growth / Venture Capital, Capital Markets and Private Equity teams. Matt maintains an extensive corporate practice, which includes:

  • Leading strategic and private equity-led domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for public and private companies – ranging from small and middle-market deals to billion-dollar transactions
  • Serving as outside general counsel to emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs for their capital-raising transactions and all facets of the business life cycle – from formation to exit
  • Counseling public and private companies with their general corporate matters, such as the preparation, review and negotiation of business-critical commercial agreements and management of internal corporate restructurings
  • Assisting public companies with corporate governance matters and periodic reporting compliance
