Séverine joined Reed Smith in January 2006. Before that, she joined the Employment Department of Rambaud Martel where she spent over 4 years. She is now a partner in the Employment law team of the Paris office.
She advises French companies, often subsidiaries of international groups, in all matters related to employment law, from information/consultation of Works’ Councils to the negotiation of collective agreements or redundancy plans. She regularly advises her clients on setting up whistleblowing processes.
Séverine is strong in putting into perspective – for her own international clients often looking into French employment issues in their subsidiaries – the challenges met by international heads of human resources when they are faced with the complexities of the French employment law. In that measure, she and her team work together towards making global (and most of the time .US.) corporate goals and challenges meet the expectations and requirements of French employment law, and focus on delivering their clients practical and concrete responses to their legal needs. Over the past year and a half, Reed Smith Paris employment team earned a strong and very specific market positioning by handling international litigation which include conflicting laws or jurisdictions.
She collaborates with the Corporate group on matters such as sales or acquisitions of companies or activities. She is most experienced in handling international litigation including conflicting laws or jurisdictions.
Séverine has held seminars on employment law issues for the AFII (Invest in France Agency), the EFE and other organizations.
