Reed Smith’s media and technology team is hosting a series of seminars throughout 2014 directed at in-house counsel and business affairs executives. The fourth seminar in the series is titled “Consumer protection issues for media and technology businesses”.
Topics to be addressed include:
- The general state of play in consumer protection legislation: introducing the Directive, the Regulations and the Consumer Rights Bill.
- How the Regulations affect online digital content providers.
- Website terms and conditions: key considerations, including notice and takedown.
- The right to be forgotten.
