Barb is a senior litigation paralegal in the Global Commercial Disputes Group, currently practicing in the area of business and finance. She has experience in the areas of financial foreclosure litigation, second mortgage loan litigation and mass tort litigation, particularly asbestos matters. Additionally, she assists with updating SEC registration statements for variable annuities and variable life insurance policies.
Barb is skilled in all areas of discovery and briefing including reviewing, analyzing and selecting key financial documents. Barb also possesses advanced skills in Excel, database document management and reporting.
She recently completed a three year secondment for a large financial institution supporting attorneys handling foreclosure matters, assisting in the service release process of loans including the review and preparation of reports identifying loans in contested litigation and training others on various reporting procedures. While on secondment, Barb formulated a best practice to assist attorneys in the timely completion of multiple tasks for their matters which resulted in 100% compliance. Barb also assisted general counsel and his paralegal and collaborated with business partners of the institution on several projects needing litigation assistance.
