The annual ranking compares the 55 largest law firms based on their total number of pro bono hours worked as well as their participation rates, to find the most impressive pro bono offerings across the UK.
This year, Law.com International highlighted the firm’s work on behalf of those who have been denied disability benefits to appeal the decision via its Disability Benefits Advocacy Project, Reed Smith has maintained a 100% success rate in helping people access justice in First-tier Tribunal hearings since June 2022.
Reed Smith’s UK-based lawyers worked 24,258 pro bono hours in 2023. More than 92% of the firm’s lawyers in the UK do pro bono service, with an average of 77 pro bono hours per lawyer. At Reed Smith pro bono work counts toward utilization targets.
