Disputes partner Cheryl Yu recognised in LexisNexis “40 Under 40” Asia and Greater China lists

HONG KONG – Cheryl Yu, a Hong Kong-based partner at global law firm Reed Smith, has been recognised in the LexisNexis “40 Under 40” Asia and Greater China lists for 2024.

The LexisNexis “40 Under 40” celebrates outstanding professionals who demonstrate exceptional potential for growth and a strong commitment to advancing the legal sector.

Yu focuses on litigation and international arbitration and is qualified in the PRC, Hong Kong SAR and New York. She has very extensive experience in disputes with cross-border elements and parallel proceedings. Her practice involves a broad range of industries, including international trade and commodities, investment and commercial transactions, banking and finance, energy and natural resources, transportation, manufacturing, construction and engineering, life science and E-commence.

In early 2024, Yu was also named among Hong Kong’s 10 most influential lawyers under 40 by Hong Kong Business.

This month, Reed Smith also announced the hire of Arthur Tso in its Hong Kong office, joining from DLA Piper where he had been co-head of International Equity Capital Markets. Among a number of other recognitions, he was previously recognised by LexisNexis “40 Under 40” in 2022.
