Global law firm Reed Smith today announces the hire of partners Tim Beech and Regina Lui as partners in its Financial Industry Group.

Beech joins from A&O Shearman where he was the co-managing partner of its Singapore office and Asia Pacific corporate trust and agency team lead.

He has almost 25 years’ experience, advising corporate trustees and agents across the market on the full range of debt capital markets transactions, including corporate and financial institution debt, regulatory capital and other subordinated debt, equity-linked products, repackagings, CLOs, securitisations, covered bonds and infrastructure and project finance. He also advises trustees on defaults, modifications, waivers, restructurings and liability management, as well as disputes and litigation.

With over a decade’s experience, Lui also joins from A&O Shearman where she was counsel in its corporate trust and agency team based in Hong Kong. She previously trained with Reed Smith in its London office.

Lui advises corporate trustees and agents on a wide range of debt capital market and loan financing transactions, including standalone issues, MTN programmes, equity linked products, repackagings and securitisations. Her experience covers real estate financing, project financing and structured financing. Lui also regularly advising corporate trustees on all post-issuance matters, including defaults and restructurings.

Beech will be based in Reed Smith’s Singapore office and Lui in its Hong Kong office.
