LONDON – Global law firm Reed Smith’s EME managing partner Tamara Box has been named in Financial News’s Fifty Most Influential Lawyers list for 2023. The prestigious list recognises Europe’s most influential lawyers working on corporate deals including M&A, restructuring and equity issuances, as well as those advising financial services companies on issues such as fund structuring and regulation.

This is the second year running that Box has been included in the list. She is recognised for leading Reed Smith in Europe and the Middle East and for the breadth of her experience advising clients internationally. She is dual qualified in England and Wales as well as in New York. Financial News also noted her work as an advocate for diversity in the legal profession and the wider finance sector. Box is a founder member of the 30% Club, which aims to improve the representation of women on boards across industries.

Box’s practice focuses on advising arrangers, dealers, issuers and trustees in connection with a wide range of debt instruments (securitisations, project bonds, high yield, convertible and exchangeable bonds and Islamic bonds/sukuk), the establishment of debt programmes, liability management, distressed and portfolio debt acquisitions and private placements. She also regularly advises on structured debt restructurings and workouts.
