Dornier Hinneburg GmbH is the nuclear technology division of the Dornier Group and a market-leading provider of technical consulting services and radiation protection in connection with the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. The buyer, Bureau Veritas, is a leading global provider of testing, inspection and certification services (TIC).

On the Reed Smith side, the transaction was handled by the German private equity team led by Dr Nikolaus von Jacobs (partner, corporate, Munich) with significant involvement from Matthias Weingut (senior associate, corporate, Munich). Also involved were Nina Siewert (partner, tax, Frankfurt), Carina Klessing (associate, tax, Frankfurt) and Robert Werzlau (associate, corporate, Munich).
