LONDON – Global law firm Reed Smith today announces the appointment of Michael Darowski as a partner in its London office.

Darowski brings 25 years of experience advising on a broad range of complex, high-value international commercial disputes in the energy and natural resources sector, as well as the financial, life sciences, transportation, and TMT sectors.

Darowski has handled disputes involving English and many other governing laws. He has acted under the rules of all the main arbitral institutions and in ad hoc disputes, undertaking advocacy at all stages of the arbitral process. He also has been involved in national court proceedings related to arbitration, ranging from applications for interim relief to challenges to awards and enforcement.

Darowski was previously a London-based partner in McDermott Will & Emery’s disputes practice. In addition to England and Wales, Darowski is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, having spent several years there on secondment. He is recognised by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500.
